I feel like I blog about dogs all the time, but it's because I have serious puppy fever. I almost rescued Sophia (I talked about her in one of my blogs in the past), even though I could only adopt her and her sister together. A couple weeks later someone brought a baby golden-doodle to my house so everyone could see her and I instantly fell in love. So naturally, I started looking for golden-doodle puppies and found two that I was super interested in. I called about them and almost bought one named Goldie, but my landlord said absolutely no dogs, so I didn't get her. I may or not have cried a couple times because I wanted her so bad.
Now that I don't have any of the dogs I realize it probably is a good idea to wait until I'm graduated and have a house and a job to keep up with the dog, but my mom realized my excessive need for a puppy and brought my chihuahua, Louis Vuitton, up to school so I could keep him for two weeks. No I am not allowed to have a dog. Yes I have snuck him this whole time.
Having Louis up here has my puppy fever better and worse all at the same time. Louis is two years old so he isn't a puppy anymore. He is potty trained and doesn't need to be watched 24/7 so it makes it way easier to have him up here. He is the sweetest and most cuddly dog ever though. He gets so excited when I walk in the room to see him and he snuggles with me every time we nap or when I wake up in the morning.
He makes me realize how bad I want a puppy, but I also realize I probably couldn't find a dog as cute and amazing as my Louis and he is also not as much work as a puppy would be. I will be sad when I have to come back up here after Thanksgiving break without him, but I know my mom misses him so she will be happy he will be back home with her.

He is so sweet! I'm so happy for you. I have never nad a dog. So, when I will have my own house, I will deffinitely have a dog. They are so smart and sociable. Russians used to say "The best friend of a human is a dog", so I hope you've found yours.
ReplyDeleteI can definitely agree with this. As someone who has four dogs at home it feels very weird not having one with me at school. I see pictures of cute dogs on the internet and often times want to get one as well. However, I most certainly do not have time for one no matter how cute they may be.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you were able to have your pup come visit you! I'm sure it made you feel a lot better. I got my puppy two years ago in February, so I had to train him in a dorm. It was a nightmare! But I hope you get your puppy soon!
