I remember when I first downloaded Snapchat. I remember thinking "I have to look presentable every day now because people will actually see what I look like every day." For everyone that doesn't know, Snapchat is a social media app that started at just a way to communicate by sending pictures back and forth. It has now advanced into a form of social media. You can share stories, which are pictures or videos that everyone you are friends with on snapchat can see, and you can see different magazine type subscription stories.
Now that I have had Snapchat for multiple years, I don't know what I would do without it. I snap my friends on a daily basis and it's basically the root of all my laugher. Now you can make snap groups, which means you can have multiple people in a group and you can send pictures to the group like normal group message, and I have so many with my friends. We send anything from drama we want to spill to TikToks in these groups and it is so much fun.
Like I said before, when I first downloaded Snapchat, I thought I had to look presentable every day to use it. That could not be further from the truth now. I send the ugliest pictures to my friends and I'm completely fine with it now. I don't even want to see all the blackmail my friends have on me.
In all seriousness, I think it's brilliant what Snapchat has done. They have created a new and more fun way to communicate. They have also found a way to not only make a strictly communicational tool into social media, but make it one of the most popular forms of social media. Instagram and Facebook have even copied the idea of stories on their pages. Whoever created snapchat is basically a mad genius.

Hello,
ReplyDeleteI enjoy Snapchat as well! It is another dimension of communication! When I first got Snapchat, I totally didn't care how I looked and I guess the care has gone down ever since! I do think that it is a good application for college kids and adults are age.
Thanks for sharing,
Alyson
Snapchat is one of my favorite social media platforms. My friends and I tend to use it more for funny videos and documentation of dance parties and games nights. I love being able to save those videos and photos to look back on.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more. I use Snapchat every single day, and I honestly don't know what I would do without it. I communicate to so many friends through it and I have so many funny pictures that I would not have otherwise. There is no doubt that the creator is a mad genius.
ReplyDeleteMy friends and I do the same thing, we send each other the ugliest photos and it's hilarious. Snapchat is so much fun and I love when they come out with new and funny filters to use. Snapchat is my top way of texting my friends as well. Even above Facebook Messenger!
ReplyDeleteI use Snapchat every day. I have group chats with friends back home and we use the filters to send weird pictures all the time. My girlfriend and I first started talking on Snapchat and to this day we snap more than we text. Snapchat is awesome!
