I have wanted a dog since my mom got a puppy two years ago. Being up here at school can be stressful sometimes and I just want a little puppy to cuddle when I'm stressed. I thought I found her, and I was so excited but let me tell you how my dreams were crushed.
Yesterday, my friend Ireland told me about this chihuahua (my favorite breed) she saw at the Lima Humane Society. Naturally I look her up and find Sophia, the dog in the picture to the left. Instantly I am in love. My mom continues to tell me I don't need her, but I continue to tell her I do. I asked her how many retweets to get her and she said 4000.
I'm not even close to the number of retweets that I need but decide to message the people and ask about her anyway. Everything was perfect. She is only a year old and the cutest little thing. I asked the Humane Society about adopting her and they told me they would only let me adopt her if I took her sister too because she would be too depressed if she separated from her. This broke my heart. I can barely take in one dog, let alone two. I am still confused on how she would be more depressed by living with me, then staying in the Humane Society with her sister, but there's nothing I can do about it and I'm devastated.
I hope Sophia and Dorothy get adopted one day, but I will stay super sad that it's not me that got to adopt her.

Hello,
ReplyDeleteSophia is very cute! I hope it all works out and you are able to adopt her! I think she would enjoy living with you as well! Keep us updated!
Thanks for sharing,
Alyson
That is so heartbreaking. I'm so sorry that is so sad but I'm sure they will find good dog parents. Looking for a dog is a long process. Finding one that you are able to take care of and that is a good fit for you takes time. Good luck in your pup search!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy you met this pretty little creature. I understand how much a pet means for people sometimes. I may be stressed out after the day at the university but when I come home and see my cat, everything becomes better.
